Traveling with the purpose of learning and getting to experience a different kind of education is a privilege that not everyone can experience. Thus, being part of the DLSU-NITAC Student Exchange Program is something I am looking forward to in the coming days. Being excited may be an understatement since I will get to make beautiful memories with wonderful people, and these will be memories that are going to last a lifetime. In this student exchange program, I hope to share a part of myself to others and likewise take a piece of them for me to treasure. I hope to share how beautiful my country is, while also appreciating their culture and country.
I may be excited for this program, but I also remind myself of my responsibility. I believe that as an exchange student, I carry the name of my strand, my school, and even my country. Hence, I always keep in mind to do my best and participate in all the activities that are yet to happen. I expect to collaborate with the people I will get to meet there and build friendships that I could keep close to my heart. After all, this is not only an opportunity to learn but also an opportunity to interact and learn things from each other.
The student exchange program may only last for 11 days, but I am positive that it will somehow change who I am as a person and how I deal with other people. I get to open my eyes and experience a whole other culture with their locals, and I think that will make me appreciate how beautiful the world is even more. Moreover, the student exchange program in Japan does not even mark the end of the whole program. I am honestly very eager to show my country to my future classmates when they come to our country as well. I look forward to the activities that will be held here since I could make them experience how it’s like in our country, and we can all probably have the opportunity to help other people. I hope to see myself and my fellow students grow as better people by the end of this program.
