As a kid, I liked watching anime and reading manga. When I got older, I started watching dramas or soap operas, and eventually found myself fascinated with Japanese culture. Despite being introduced to a culture of such depth and sincerity, through shallow media, I had developed a genuine interest and fascination in Japan. However, I feel that my current knowledge and understanding of Japanese culture may be insufficient and even be inaccurate. With this trip, I wish to improve myself and my viewpoints.

Currently, Japanese education is praised for being advanced. As a senior high-school student about to choose a course that will determine my possible career, I would like to view education and schooling through different lenses. Experiencing a different type of schooling may help me decide and determine what I want and can do in the near future.
